HeartMath® Heart-Coherence & Stress Management programs

In the 1990's HeartMath® Institute researchers, identified a physiological state called Heart Coherence- a type of coherence that occurs when our body's systems, our breathing, heart rhythms, brain rhythms and hormonal responses are in sync with each other. We offer the following: 

1. The HeartMath® Building Personal Resilience 8-week program for individuals and groups. 

2. Individual biofeedback, Heart Rate Variability (HRV) training, and breathwork coaching and exercises for stress management and self-regulation.

3. The techniques you will learn will help to create a new healthier peaceful feeling baseline; building resiliency for life challenges, being able to respond from our best self, connect and work with our inner intuition, and decrease the effects of stress related dis-ease and diseases in the body. 

4. Studies have shown practicing Heart-Coherence can positively affect your sleep, anatomical nervous system (ANS), and help reduce physical, mental, emotional stress responses increasing your vitality and resiliency.  

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Tapping Group and Individual programs

Gary Craig developed and popularized EFT in the 1990's. As a student of Dr. Roger Callagan, Gary Craig created EFT as a simplified, single-sequence version of Dr. Callagan's Thought Field Therapy (TFT), calling EFT a "basic recipe" for all problems.  EFT meridian tapping roots go back 3000 years to ancient Chinese medicine. It has been proven effective in enhancing the ability to change behavior patterns, overcome negative beliefs, and eliminate stress.

Step 1: The person states their concern in the setup statement in an expression of the problem as a thought, feeling, and/or body-sensation. 

Step 2: The somatic tapping reduces the emotional stress response allowing the brain to transform how the event was experienced, and thus the neural pathway of the old learning is transformed by the new experience.

Step 3. The repetition phase is vital as the repeated rounds serve to identify additional aspects of the issue. At no point is it suggested that tapping erases any learning or transform what actually happened. But instead, EFT sends deactivating signals to the emotional centers of the brain allowing someone to remember what happened without the distress.  Clinical EFT is a form of energy psychology but is also referred as a somatic intervention. Clinical EFT enhances emotional health and can be used to address everyday anxieties, stress, health conditions exasperated by stress using goal oriented clinical EFT.
